As an academic teaching hospital, we are in the unique position to be collaborating with top minds and fostering groundbreaking research. Much of the state-of-the art medical technologies were developed and pioneered right here at Stanford in collaboration with the tech industry. And, because we are part of the Stanford academic medical center, we are an active partner in translational medicine, where insights in a research laboratory can be rapidly transferred to patient care.

Our hospital was designed to advance health care in a world of ever-evolving technology. New technologies such as robotic surgery and next-generation imaging tools will improve how we can care for even the smallest patients. We are expanding our surgery, imaging and diagnostic capacity and incorporating the latest technology to give kids the best and most coordinated care. Our additional surgical suites will decrease wait times, integrate imaging and surgery, and further decrease radiation exposure for our patients.
